JOURNALING with a Twist! - September 13

Good Morning ladies!!!

Here are a couple of my favourite art journal blogs.... great ideas on both of these....

This week we are going to get inky!! Here is my example ....




Here is today's art journal challenge for you all......

THE PROMPT: "If I had 1 extra hour... I would....."

THE STUFF: Inks, stamps, flowers

THE TECHNIQUE: For my page I pasted down some tissue paper and them srayed ink all over it. I then stenciled some images on it and then stamped some images. Added my journaling and a flower vase with flowers and bling.
I want to see some ink and stamps and flowers somewhere, somehow!

I'm picking up my own journal this morning, and hope to give this a try!

Here is mine. I used Tim Holtz inks and dragged them down the page, cutout flowers from scrap paper, some stickers and a stitch stamp.

That's so pretty Lisa!! Are those stickers for your letters?

at leas you HAVE a 9 year old to blame them on! I can't exactly claim it was my 22 year old artist or my 3 year old gd!!That's all I got...

Yes they are little mini stickers.

They do not... your one from last week was awesome! You can do this.. it is about the journey.. not about being perfect... remember that!!!

Helen and Lisa, Those are great pages.
Helen, I like the layers from the tissue paper and the stamped images and what the heck, I like it all.
Lisa, the background turned out great. It would work just fine for a layout background. All the other bits are great too.

I do plan to do more scrapping this weekend. I hope to get to this journaling. I started my first page but have been too busy to finish over the past week.

I tried to follow your technieque Helen. I didn't have any ink I could spray with in the colors I wanted so I applied the ink to the tissue paper, misted with water and blended. I like the texture from the tissue paper. Behind the die cut stems, there are stamped images of weedy flowers. It might have looked better without the die cuts but it is what it is.

OH MY Gosh Gail.. that is just beautiful! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!!It turned out fripping fanastic! WTG !!!!

I love it Gail and I think the diecut stems/leaves add a nice touch to the page!
