| THE PROMPT: "What if...." I know we all have asked that question. Some relate it to opportunity, some relate it to fate or regret. Sometimes when we live in the "what if" we miss out on what is happening now!!! What is your "What if...." THE STUFF: layers of sorts, chipboard, doodles THE TECHNIQUE: You need to show some coloured squares somehow. For my page I stamp every color of distress inks I own, and then used white and pink acrylic paint that was watered down and washed over the squares. Once this dried, I made more squares using water color crayons (which I LOVE!!!) and overlayered them over the bottom ones. Then I sprayed glimmer mist over the whole thing. I added some words and doodles and a chipboard piece.. and voila! What if!!!! Have fun! | |

| That is a great page, both the technique and the journalling.
Question: How long did you leave your ink before washing over with the paint? Did you heat set it first? Painting over ink was where I ran into trouble last week.

Painting over ink was where I ran into trouble last week. i I have a Tim Holtz heat gun and I use it to dry my page before continuing onto another layer....or I leave it to dry and come back later...sometimes that works out well in my scheduling

| I left mine overnight Gail. I find if I use my heat gun, it will bleed somewhat but if I leave it overnight, it seems to work fine. And I didn't use a really thick layer of the wash either.. and be fast!
....and thanks ladies!

| Thanks Linda, I'm having a lot of fun doing them. Trying something new and even failing seems easier here than on a layout. Lois, I agree, it's a lot of fun. Stephanie, yes the vines are stamp.
