This is our first Tipsy Tuesday and Tipey Tuesday with be household or organizational tips. My house is definitely a bit tipsy these days. I don't why I think what takes me three weeks to set up should go away in 3 days. Now that Christmas is about done, my scrap/craft room is on my radar. I googled but found a lot of stuff that was too expensive and impractical for me.

I want to work with what I have and I have too much paper. Paper is going to be my task for the next 3 weeks. I watched a video from a site that Ali mentioned... www.scraprack.ca I am not going to rush out and buy "Splinders." (It would cost me a ssmall forutne to organize all my stuff with them.) I think that is what they are called but I do like the system.

1. Alpha, Numerics - if it is an alphabet, number, punctuation, word, or journaling stuff. They are all stored together.
2. Themes A - Z - Birthdays, camping, fall, florals, sports, etc.
3. Through the calendar year --- Seasons/Special days - Valentines, Canada Day, halloween, Christmas etc.
4. Rainbow - Anything that does not fit in Themes or Calendar goes in the colours ROY G BIV - I am going to do Red/ Orange Yellow/ Green/ Blue/ Purple/ Neutrals

I am hoping this is "Do-able" and a system that is "memory-able" for me. I have Iris containers that I am going to use for the rainbow. I have the white filing cube with file folders that I'm going to use for the Themes A-Z and probably teh seasonal stuff will end up in a seperate Iris or "bigger"container.

This is a basic overview of their system, watch the videos, if you would like to see more.

Hope this info may be helpful to someone.

If you have a scraproom and you are looking for a new table this idea from Ivy Cottage is "do-able" and probably won't break the budget.

I have folding tables but with the legs there is limited space underneath. I love this idea.

Have a great day!!!

I love those huge DIY craft tables and made my own wall unit with two dressers and old entertainment unit board. I am still working on getting rid of a couple of old office desks so that DH will let me build the DIY table Wink

Hmm... that's basically what my desks are - hollow doors bought from a 2nds lumber store and 2x4 legs for one and shelves for the other. All my iris carts (I have four carts each holding six iris cases) are stored under my big desk.

I have all my paper stored by manufacturer. This works pretty well but I sometimes have to go through it to remember what I have. I have some themed sections - Christmas, baby, children, Websters being a few. I've got a new "system" for my cardstock but I really need to get back in that scrap room and get busy!

I get to stay home all day tomorrow and am really looking forward to it!

Wow, I really like that table! I saw something like that on Martha Stewart but it was just one door. I really like the huge square table.

Awesome tips, and I like that table too!! I have my DH "old" desk that is massive with drawers on each side and it works great!
