| So here I am at Hancock Fabric store....I ask one of the cashiers in the black shirt if she had any burlap. She says yes and we proceed to the back of the store. They had several different tones, and one green bolt. I picked out the one most similar to the one in the picture, and in Colleens fab examples. The woman carried it up to the cutting table because I told her I needed to look at some lace. So I did a little more browsing and found the things I wanted. When I got to the counter the woman was ringing me up and she had burlap fibers all over her black shirt! I made her aware of it, and she said "no worries." But for the life of me I can't figure out how it ended up all over the back of her shirt too! This stuff is so messy!!! | |

| Just happened upon this. I have some flowers like this and I think the fabric is a loosely woven hopsacking . It is not burlap, different kind of fabric from burlap. I think a burlap weave but with a different type of thread. | |

| Mine is burlap because it smells just like it. I agree on Sonya's though, I don't think hers was the same as mine. | |

| What a fun thread this is! I have no opinion to offer! LOL - I was thinking aida at first, but it's too uneven to be aida so I remain clueless with the rest of you! Beautiful flowers, Colleen. | |

| I was thinking it looked like a light woven tweed. But I could be WAY off. | |
