| We all know those dreaded lists we got from Staples for our kids to start back to school... well....
Here is a list of a few things you will need for summer school this year... you will not need them all the first day... but over the summer sometime you will.
Gessa Gel Medium Foam plate bubble wrap organza candle small beads bling strips
pan pastels (one or two colors) Plastic wrap Cardboard Masking Tape Tin Foil Paints (I have old acrylic folk art paints that work just great) Glue gun and glue Twine or string
I will let you know if you need anything more!

| Gels can be thought of as colorless paint, as they are composed of 100% acrylic polymers similar to acrylic paint. They can also act as adhesives in collage and mixed media that dry to form continuous films with excellent flexibility with chemical, water and UV resistance. Gesso is a primer. Artists sometimes apply it to a surface before painting on it. In fact, gesso looks a lot like paint. It is also used to add texture to a page or over stencils. Originally, gesso only came in white. Artists put it on canvas, wood, or other surfaces before creating a painting with oil paint or acrylics. Gesso makes the surface a little stiffer. It prevents paint from soaking into the support (canvas, paper, wood, etc.), and it gives the surface a little more texture (called "tooth"), so the paint sticks better. Today, gesso comes in many colors. White is still the most popular, but black and colors are also widely used for art journaling and other art. Pan Patels are basically dry paint! They are amazing!! Something a bit like chalk but doesn't flake. Check them out HERE!Organza is a thin material... like this... Hope this helps!! Gesso, Gel Medium, and pan pastels can be found in an art store (cheap) or Michaels. Organza can be found in a fabric store. If you can't find these, no problems.. you can still do my challenges! | |

| Well I went looking today, I got the gel medium but I couldn't find the pan pastels anywhere. Next to check at the bug.. see if they have any and how much they are but that won't do me any good cause I am now officially broke til the end of the month. I broke my camera and I mean broke it good. I took it to the camera shop today and it cost me my last $20 to have him tell me it can't be fixed Shhhhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone but I'm not really frowning cause my wonderful fantastic DH is buying me a new one | |

Instead of pan pastels i'll just use the chalk i got, the rest makes sense. Looks like Gordon is going to see me alot sooner* *Gordon is a nick name for the art store that is near uni that will give me 10% off. | |

So I would probably find these at Michaels in the acrylic paint section? - Quote :

| Okay, Helen I love you but I just checked out the cost of pan pastels and sorry but not willing to spend that much for something I don't even know if I will like. Do you ladies find it much cheaper in Canada than for $40 to $60? | |
