Art Journal Challenge #7 - What you love!

In honour of Valentines Day.. I want you to do a page about what you love!

You must use a Heart, and inside the heart, journal what you love today!

Technique: Add bits of pp to your page somehow!

I don't know how to do art journalling ... that's with water colours, is it??? Love your page!

Art Journaling is anything you want it to be Ricki..... no rules, just have fun and get messy! It is a good way to try different mediums.. acrylic paints, water colours, anything at all.

I still have to finish this one and it's next week already!! I've had so many orders for journals and jars that my hands have been busy, busy, busy!!

What journals and jars Lois??

I am making jars of questions and a journal to add the answers in... they are selling like hotcakes... mainly because I am making them too cheap... next month I will have to up the price because most of my cheaper paper will be gone... here's one I just did:


my daughter made me one... basically you tell about your life... and when I was finished I gave it to her for her birthday... it was a great thing to fill in, I really had to think about some of the questions.

Anyway... I am here to finally put my journal pages in....



what a job this was... my mojo was having a tough time... I started off with two hearts... then I decopaged them with bits of paper... didn't like it... outlined the hearts with black and really hated it... painted everything... added too much spray blue... crackled parts of it... repainted... not sure I liked it... slopped some ink all over... added the word life... hated it.. redid it with cork... really hated it... painted it...inked it...repainted it...now I think I like it... maybe... lol!!

LOL Lois!! I LVOE your art journal page!!! It is so cool how you start off with one idea and end up with something totally different!!! That is why I think I like it so much.. no rules!!

And WTG on the jars and journals!!!!! They look amazing!! Are you selling them on facebook? Etsy?? I still have the list you gave to us a few years back with all the questions... needless to say, I still haven't done anything!!!

The journal and jar is an AWESOME idea. What a thought provoking gift and one when it is returned to you keeps on giving.

Are the questions ones that you made up or is there a site with them?

I did the journal and jar idea for my mom for Christmas one year & she loved it. That's an awesome idea!

We did this for our mothers a few years ago for Christmas. My Mil faithfully filled hers out (took a couple of years) but we have a super book with her handwriting (and some of my fil too) of memories. My own mom quit part way through but that's her. She just doesn't "do" things like this! My MIL was a bit intimidated but she muscled through! It's great.

I have 15 more to make at this time...lol...so I guess there's lot of people who want to know some family history or do one for their kids. I was thinking on doing something like that for kids... Thanks everyone for liking my journal ... Now to catch up on the one after that!!
