March 15 Art Journal Challenge

Hi everyone... here's a little challenge for you...
1. Use a piece of cloth or fibre of some kind to make a pattern on your page using paint or ink.
2. add a bit of fussy cutting and something shiny.
3. Add a frame of some kind and some alphabets.

Then.... post it here and I'll put your name into a jar and get Maria to pick a name for a RAK!! Come on... it's easy... eh Helen?!!

I balled up a piece of fabric and used paint to dab two lines on my background cs, used staples for a shiny object and fussy cut a couple of images from the pp to pop them out.

What a fantastic idea Jessica! LOVE the effect of the dabbed borders.. and what an awesome page!!

Very nice, Jessica!!! I miss "Misty Waters", I shopped there, too whenever we were in Sussex! It was a great store, still have some of their product. LOL

Great page Jessica! I love how you combined the patterns!

1. Use a piece of cloth or fibre of some kind to make a pattern on your page using paint or ink. - done... Used a dishcloth, dipped it in ink and blotched the blue in the sky.
2. add a bit of fussy cutting and something shiny. - fussy cut the house out of a piece of canvas.... and added glossy accents on the little trees to the right
3. Add a frame of some kind and some alphabets.- oops.. on the frame, but I did use alphabets!! Maybe I could say I used a charchol pencil around the heart to add some shadow "frames"... LOL!!!

The leaves are a stamp... I just coloured them in.

Here is my take:




I used the cupboard liner as a fibre with Molotov ink, I love this stuff. Gotta get some more!
The boy and kite were fussy cut and the kite is shiny
I framed the word "fly" with a frame and used alphas for c'mon....that's all folks:)

The journaling says.....

Lately, I have had some days where I could grab an adult and say: c'mon lets fly away!
