Art Journal Challenge - #3 - Musical Muse

I love listening to music while I scrap and such!

Today, I want you to take some lyrics from a favourite song, and use them in your art journal!!

Technique: Use paper piecing somehow also!! I made the sun out of pattrned paper and then doddled on it.



This song I chose was one my eldest son used to listen to in the car on the way to school when he was in high school. He loved, and still does, rap music. I really don't care for rap too much, but this song is so upbeat and happy! i still listen to it today!!

This was my mother's favorite song - we played it at her funeral - and when I am feeling sappy, for some reason no matter where I am, it plays... in stores, the car, TV...

Love it Lois!! I too love this song, and it has great meaning to me and my boys. I thought I'd share this with you, its a tribute from my oldest son to my late husband, this too was played at his funeral. These are all pictures that my dh took, and he was legally blind, so quite amazing to us. Thanks for sharing Lois, really touched me.

Lois - the layout is so beautiful!

I use to sing this song to Brianna when she was a baby. The paper piecing is the flower in the top right corner. Can you tell I dug out my tripod? LOL! No more blurry pics!

Jessica.. I have to say, I admire your scrappy style, but this has got to be my fave of yours for sure! LOVE all the buts, and the hearts, and the doodling... gorgeous!!.. and of course your dd is too!
