I think I'd better start a new journal... my other one still has lots of pages but is 3 or so inches thick on the 'opening' side with only about a 1" coil on the other already!!

I've been working on mine but not done yet!!

here it is... I screwed up on the left side and had to cover it with tape... so it doesn't look quite how I wanted it....

I like it Lois. I had to cover a mistake too.

My colors are a little off because the sun was already going down when I took the photo. The background is quite so bright and the pink and yellow are softer.

I can never just pick one word.

Thanks ladies. I did take the idea to use paint and know brushes from a page I found at a year in the life of an art journal. My masking and bubble wrap didn't work really well but I like the page anyway.

The larger blue circles were a little 2 oz tupperware container dipped in paint. The smaller blue circles were the cap to a tube of decors. The little black ones are a couple of stamps.

I decided last night that DH was out and I would do some of these Art Journaling Challenges to Fill in Holes in PL.



At this stage of my life I am not an Art Journal"er". It is a stretch for me to even print on my scrapbook pages, my journaling is usually computer generated. All I successful made was a major mess that any kindergarten child's mother"MAY" be proud of ... Helen, Lois, Gail and you other ladies make it look so nice! I was only trying to do something on a 4 x 6 piece of paper.

But after I cleaned up .... I went back to my comfort zone and did my word of the year.



For technique , Helen you did say --- "Anything" goes but it is not very creative.

Ahh Linda.. I think it is just awesome!! I am so gald you gave this a try! There is no right or wrong way.. art journaling is just what makes you happy!!! WTG!!!

Most of what I tried did not make me happy! LOL

Well.. I hope you had fun and will do a few more challenges!!

Good idea using it for PL... I think I'll try the same! Much easier on a smaller scale. Who knows? It may push me to use a bigger canvas!!
