| Did you know...
Since weightlessness causes the spine to expand and straighten, astronauts may measure up to two inches taller in space than they do on Earth.
Tuesday is the most popular day of the week for giving birth. Part of that factor has nothing to do with Nature and everything to do with hospital staffing; elective C-sections and induced labors are often scheduled during traditional working hours.
This is me (anyone else here a Libra?):
Libra is the only zodiac sign represented by an inanimate object.

| Those are cool facts, Stephanie. I especially like the one about births. My 2nd son was born on a Tuesday - I was induced because my military husband was only home for a week so it was have the baby with help or he'd likely miss it. I had two babies on Mondays and one on a Tuesday. Who had time for drugs? #1 took 8 hours from first pinch (no braxton hicks) to full birth - 2 hours labour and 20 minutes pushing, #2 took 6 hours - 1 hour hard pushing and 10 minutes pushing, #3 took 1 hour labour and I didn't push at all, she whipped out all by herself surprising everyone in the room. Dh said we had to stop there.. | |

Cool facts Stephanie!!! I didn't have time for drugs either. My labors were 2, 4 and 4 hours. DD was born on a Wed., DS #1 on a Monday and DS #2 on a Tuesday. They were all natural and not scheduled.

| Interesting facts, my babies were born on Monday and Saturday and the SAat. baby was induced. No drugs for me, either. First child was 3 - 4 hours and when they were wheeling me to the delivery room I was saying it was to soon, the nurse was saying no it's not. But I was not screaming like the other lady taht was near by, i Iuess I thought the screaming was a requirement. LOL
The induction took 45 minutes, but i was several days over.

| Ohmygosh.. the other ladies screaming... yikes.. that scared me a ton with my first one! By the time I had my third (she was born early morning and I was easily ready to go home by 9 but they forced you to stay in hospital for 72 hours back in those days), my bed was on the wall beside the labour/delivery room. It was a hospital with no a/c (in Germany) and so all the windows were open - day and night I heard them yell! There was a woman in the room with me who moaned for at least 24 hours before she finally delivered. When she finally got up to waddle to the bathroom after her birth, I sort of said "oh it hurts eh?" and she said, "It's not the baby, it's the hemmoroids!" ... I could barely relate to baby pain after birth, but the hemmoroids were way out of my purvue! | |

| Yah, hearing others screaming as you are just coming in is not cool! Hmm, I have to think what days my baby's were born. They were not scheduled births. Son 1 would have been the Tuesday after my sister's wedding on Saturday. Son 2 was a Monday - I felt the first twinge in church on Sunday but really, it was an easy labour - only 20 minutes in the hospital. I had to go look up the day for Son 3's birth. He was also on a Tuesday. Looks like for me, even without planning, Tuesday is the common day. | |
