Thought this was interesting!
"The first Thanksgiving feast in the U.S. was held in 1621 when the Pilgrims celebrated their harvest. However, the Americans did not invent Thanksgiving. English navigator Martin Frobisher held a celebration of thanks in 1578 in what is now Newfoundland as he had survived the long journey over the seas."

So is October when he had it? Is that why you celebrate in Oct. or is there another reason?

WE have a shorter growing season for the most part. Our "harvest" is about a month before yours.

Things are always earlier in Nfld!!!! (Have you seen the new PC commercial for their Christmas foods?) Sorry Stephanie, you probably do not get Canadian commercials.
