August 10 - Triathlon Challenge

Triathlon - "You Set The Course Triathlon"

Triathlon athletes are all rounders; great swimmers, great cylists, great runners. The event is grueling and all the athletes have exceptionsl reserves of stamina. World leading competitors take less than 1 hour and 50 minutes to compete the Olympic distance triathlon. A Triathlon Swim is 1.5 Kms., Cycling - 40 Kms. and Run - 10 Kms.

Since a Triathlon is grueling event, this is going to be a grueling Challenge. But if you complete this challenge, your name will go in a draw for a special prize from moi (as Kelly puts it).

A triathlon is basicallty three parts making a whole. Your challenge is to create a Layout not a card that represents three parts of you, someone or something special to you or something like a triathalon that has three parts.

Some of my examples could be: (These are only examples!)

Wife, Mother, Grandmother
Three Generations - Daughter, Mother, Grandmother
Three Grandaughters
3 Hobbies - Papercrafting, Quilting, Reading
Three Stages of Life - Child, Teen, Adult
An Event - Prep, The Event, Clean-up ..................

Every challenge as requirements:

3 Layers
3 Embellishments, clustered together each representing one of your parts
3 Single Words

Rules

1. Must be new as of August 10th.
2. May not be combined with any other Olympic Challenges but can be combined with Sketch Challenges.
3. May submit up to 2 laoyouts or 3 cards, if you wish.
4. Deadline - August 31.
5. Have Fun!

Hmm, this will require some thinking. It's a great challenge.

I finished mine at 2:00am this morning, it was hard to get the time with packing, cleaning and company. Our DD, did Ironman Canada in 2001. Thought is was perfect for this challenge.



Three layers - red, Sport pp, black.

Words -SWIM, BIKE, RUN

To represent each- Swim Suit, Helmet, Sneakers.

Have fun with teh challenge.

Great way to preserve those memories. I like the design. Mostly linear with a couple of things to break up the lines.

oh gosh these are so good!! I have 9 words... so let's just say it's 3 times the three singles!! Three special moments with two of the special people in my life and three embellishments as in chipboard bits!

I like your paper choice Lois.

The paper is Little Yellow Bicycle... Head of the Class line... I really liked working with it and its double sided and quite thick like cardstock.
