June 7th - Doughnut Day

Happy Doughnut Day!! I love doughnuts even though they aren't the healthiest things for me I don't eat them very often, but when I do, I like the ones covered with powdered sugar and the jelly inside.

To celebrate doughnut day, I want you to use something that is round and has a hole in it. I also want you to include elements from your favorite doughnut.

I love doughnuts, I worked at Tim's for 8 years and I still love doughnuts!

I had Tim's on the 5th for camp day and I am still feeling it...haha!

I was at Tim's on Camp Day - twice! I didn't have coffee at home that day for sure!

Doughnuts are not my favourite

I hate doughnuts today - they are not the same. Tim's doughnuts taste like wet sugar to me! Yuck! I wish we had a bakery that sold good old fashioned plump yeast doughnuts.

Jenny always has me stop at tims on the way home. She insists that we get something for dh even though dh never eats it. She won't listen to me! Anyway today we got him a donut that he won't eat!!!

I don't mind donuts.. but I prefer that cake donuts that my Mom used to make ages ago.... sprinkled with sugar! Yummy for sure!! Cool challenge! Hmmmm....

The circle with the hole is the top of the bird cages. The elements are from my fav all time doughnut - a long crueller: the couch embellishment reminded me of the shape and the border reminded me of the bumpy crunchy top.

And yes, I remember that I'm allergic to sugar and flour and will pay for it tomorrow but I can sleep again!! It's supposed to be another miserable rainy day... So don't listen to me when I'm complaining tomorrow..

There is a hole in the camera.. and a hole in the top corner with the sentiment behind it.. I am giving this to Stuart at dinner and writing inside a request for his "prom"/ Grad photo! LOL! I will let you know what he says!! LOL!! Oh... this is inspired by the chocolate tim bits I had earlier! LOL!

Wow, you ladies are on the ball! My favorite donut is the old fashioned sugar - messy but tasty and brings back great memories. My nan always had some in her cupboard! My mom makes them and so does my MIL. I've tried them a few times, but with two nans making them the children don't really need me to do them too!
