List #15 - April 30th

List 3 things that you have learnt from your Mother (or Mother fiqure).

I have learnt...

1. To have patience with my children for they grow up in spite of me.

2. Always be nice..... even if you want to smack someone!

3. Be the best you can be... all the time.

My "Nan", Dad's Mom was always an important lady in my life. From her I learned...

1. Take time to listen... whenever someone is talking your role is to listen. Regardless how busy she was she would always listen to every word and concern.

2. Be creative and frugal ... use what you have.

3. God has a plan but yours is not to sit idly by He will not do what you are capable of doing. One of her gently reminders was Jesus had men roll away the rock from Lazarus tomb, he had Lazarus walk out of the tomb and others to remove the grave clothes.

It is hard just to list 3 things. Thanks for the reminder, Helen.

This is going to take some thinking. I was just wondering about the lists this morning actually. Glad to see this!

I learned from my mom:

1. How to cook
2. How to keep up with my household
3. How to make memories/traditions with my family and documenting them.

1. How to take care of myself and our family
2. Independence
3. How to make things, sew, knit, cook, create, garden.....

I learned more about how "not" to do things from my mother(s)!

Sadly it's the truth..

I can totally understand.. I learnt the same from mine...

Oh well.. hopefully my kids will be able to say differently!! Does the fact that my dil sent, ONLY to me and her mom, a video of her tummy aka baby rocking and rolling during the hockey game last night count?
