Last week, I was cleaning and organizing my scraproom and the process will continue when I get back home. I have been looking at ways to store all this stuff on rolls that is easy access. I often pick up the bags of ribbon at Winners and Home Sense.

Washi Tape and Ribbon Storage

This lady uses the Keurig Tray for holding the K-Cups for her washi tape. It is on the last two minutes of the video, you may want to FF to about 4 minutes.

To all those handy ladies and gents Nicole Heady has an awesome DYI ribbon storage unit for those larger rolls. She gives the complete plan and measurements.

This site has storage suggestions for all our crafty supplies

I found this suggestion on Pinterest (posted by thelittlegiggler). I think I might head to the $Store to see, if I can find container with the small holes for my Washi Tape. I have lots of extra knirtting needles that would work as holders.

Hope these sites may give you an idea or if you have a great system please share.

I guess the Washi tape is really trending right now, so it's nice to see some ideas on how to store it. I can see myself using these ideas for tape, rather than ribbon (I don't buy much ribbon on rolls)

I don't keep enough of one kind of ribbon to keep on rolls either. The dollar store basket is a great idea though! I use cardboard bobbins and wrap the ribbon around them then store them in a box - just like embroidery floss.

I use far more ribbon than tape. I only have a few rolls of the washi. I'm not completely sold on it but do like the few rolls I have. I don't think it would ever replace ribbon because my ribbon is just so purty.... Wink

I've seen washi tape in an old aluminum foil box & then you have the tearing edge too.

Now THAT is a fabulous idea! I love using old kitchen containers that would otherwise be tossed, purposed like this!

That is the best idea I've heard, Stephanie! Makes me want to have a bunch of washi tape just so I can organize it that way! LOL!

Here's a website I found with the foil container idea. There's also a video in the comments of how someone did their container:
