Mine is done. I used naked chipboard buttons and adhered them to a newspaper like background. I was hoping some of it showed through but it really doesn't very much. Then I did clear gesso. That was followed by "parchment colour" paint. I stitched the buttons. Then I used about 6 different inks in layers. These are old pictures from Italy of my dh's uncle. I believe he is in his 80s now. I'm trying to find out more about him but sometimes you just have to be happy you have the pictures. LOL!

That's really neat, Lisa! I'm going to use mine on a Vegas layout. You inspired me when you talked about "buttons" instead of letters. Smile

Got it done. Didn't turn out exactly as I'd pictured in my head but may still get it on a layout yet. Just wanted to be sure to 'turn it in" in time! Laughing
