Hahaha....I was looking at the list thinking that Teacher should use each word in a sentence when she posts it What grade is this summer school supposed to be for anyways? I know the list is what you should know before you graduate, etc but I was just curious about how we are supposed to be acting at summer school You know, grade 7, grade 10, grade 12. If we were boys it really wouldn't matter but girls are supposed to be more mature, right? LOL

Infact, I think I am going to make a mini album of all the 100 words and give it to Stuart the first day of Grade 12 in September! Wonder if he will think I am gay??? LOL!!!!

| July 3rd:
12. churlish - rude or surly; of or relating to peasants; miserly "Those of us who typically enjoy this festival for its variety may have cause for complaint, but it would be churlish to voice it."
82. subjugate - to bring under complete control or subjection; conquer; master. "Terror was used purposefully and more or less indiscriminately to subjugate the entire population."
85. tautology - needless repetition of an idea, especially in words other than those of the immediate context, without imparting additional force or clearness, as in “widow woman.” "She added that she is concerned about some of the tautology going on here."
99. yeoman - What my son says to his frineds... "Yo-man" LOL!!!!
Actually it is a member of a class of small freeholders of common birth who cultivated their own land; an assistant or other subordinate to an official, such as a sheriff, or to a craftsman or trader ; an attendant or lesser official in a royal or noble household ; or a petty officer or noncommissioned officer in the Royal Navy or Marines in charge of signals.
100. ziggurat - a type of rectangular temple tower or tiered mound erected by the Sumerians, Akkadians, and Babylonians in Mesopotamia. The tower of Babel is thought to be one of these.
Hope you got some today!!
