Mushrooms & Moss

Annmaree, here's one in color of mushrooms and moss. I really like the little things on the forest floor. I've often thought of making a terrarium like the forest floor. I should have had a little more depth of field on this one. I'm still learning though.

Those are great pictures Gail & Annmaree!! What kind of cameras do you both have?

I have a kodak z612 I'm really happy with it, had it for porbably 3 or 4 years now! WOuld die if it brokedown! lol

Gail that is a wonderful shot of the mushrooms...a perfect fairy ring as my Grandmother would call it.

AnnMaree, what a great looking mushroom! So big and brown have never seen one like that before. Is it native to your country?

Me too, Gail! Last summer, most of the nature pics I took were of the little things -- even the moss on top of an old stump. Like Jean said, like a little fairy ring.

Gives you a new perspective when you're looking for little things to photograph.

I have no idea to be honest Jean-Marie! Its the first time I've ever seen one that big in the wild here. I would certanily love to find out what type it is. Might have to do some net searching...

That is a funky mushroom Annmaree. It seems I can feel the forest in your other shot.

My camera is a Canon Rebel XS. It still feels new to me - I've had it since Christmas. I just bought a new zoom lens last week that I used for that photo - a 55- 250. I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Yes... there is a good trail system here and this one is just down the hill and on the edge of the dyke by the river.
