Sketch Challenge

I tried my version of Deanne's sketch... as per the following blog

I had to do a journal entry in a circle journal & since this was sitting on my table, figured I would give it a try...

ugh... why is this so big??? how can i resize it - sorry folks!

LOL, Try uploading on Photobucket Linda, you can resize things from there then, and just copy the links form then there to wherever you like:

www.photobucket.com

you'll have to start an account, but its perfectly safe, its just a photo storage place online that helps you manage all your photos... Good Luck!

Like Annmaree said, I upload my photos to photobucket, resize and edit, and then paste them back to here. I know the gallery allows us to upload directly from our computer, but we can't on the forum. I notice that a lot of forums are like this.

Also, a word to the wise, if you remove something from photobucket, it is removed from everry site you had it at! I learnt that rather embarassingly!!

Can I ask a rather od question if I may... What exactly is a circle journal?

Yep, we can!! See the button at the top with a pic and a disc. When you put your curser over it, it will say Host an image. You can upload items directly from your computer

A circle journal is where say a group of people (usually 8 or more) sign up - you think of a theme for an 8x8 or 9x9 (as it isn't as expensive to ship a 12x12). You create a sign in sheet (this tells about what thype of jourmal it is, what you want them to do on a double layout, create a tag - etc... instructions.
You then create a dbl layout and then mail to the next person on the list - all 8 or more will create something in your journal and eventually you will get it back. We are a group that has done these lots so we are moving ours every 1st & 15th of the month... depending on your group, sometimes you get a month to create. (we started Nov 1st)

the idea behind it is you get new ideas, techniqes, etc. if you do a google on circle journals, there are tons of topics. I just finished one (the beauty one) where she actually choose topics/pages that we had to do.. I took Beauty & Mother (mother is on my blog) - she wanted sayings, poems, quotes.
I then just did another one that was recipes - so you do a technique and then recipes - when done it is a cookbook. One of mine was using 5 senses, interesting to see other's interpretations, etc. See on Beauty, i chose it to be what surrounds us, where someone can put who they think is beautiful... done them with your favorite kid's stories, poems, 80's, favorite holiday...

they are fun and you really get to see other's work this way. I like them - the ones' I love more are Trading Faces though... A group of people together that scrapbook & want to do something different, mix up your album a bit - that's where I send you photo's of an event (email so you can print the size you want and such), info on journalling, etc. and then you create a 12 x 12 layout & mail it to me. as long as everyone does 12 x 12 and mail, that way all the shipping is roughly the same and such - you get 3 weeks to complete the layout. Has to be good quality, matting, techniques and really put your very best work into it. These are a blast & I love them as someone else is scrapping about my kids and just gets another level of closeness with the group of gals you gab with. Let me know if any of you are interested in any of this.

thanks Ali - i am really trying to get things in order on this end so that i can upload and enter challenges, etc. just need to be more organized and find something that works to keep track as well.
