Well he was my first so I didn't really know any different! My roomie had a 9 something'er too so I thought that was "normal". Imagine my when I saw a lady I had met a couple of times in the hospital carrying her "normal" 7 pounder around. I was so shocked I asked her what was wrong with her baby!! She huffily replied that they couldn't all be monsters like mine! Wow. Talk about a case of post partum sensitiveness.... ok, I was out of line, but in my defense, I didn't know any better!

I thought he was the perfect size.

I had one 7.13 (he was two weeks early) and one 8.6, a 9.4, two 9.13's, a 10.4 and a 10.12 along with my 10.1. Whenever I'd hold a 6 or 7 lb baby I'd be amazed at how light they felt.
"Monsters" - that's funny! I've heard terms like "3 months old already" or "born with a job" but haven't heard "monster". LOL!
When Thane was born I thought he seemed small!! LOL!

They seem like they'll break, don't they? Both my grandkids were at the 7 something mark and they felt so SMALL!! Remember I haven't had much to do with newborn, newborns and both these babies came to me fresh from the womb so they were quite a surprise!

Mine went 10.1, 9.1 (induced early), and 8.13 (my "baby" and the only one who wore newborn clothes for more than six minutes!)

I had so many other ideas for my wire but none of them seemed to go as planned so I did a simple paperclip wire heart(s). P.S. The wire nearly had an early demise LOL!
