SMARTIES Challenge

Did you know this popular “kiddies” treat has a birthday in January?
Smarties will be 76 on January 30th.

Most of us remember the catchy little jingle –

"When you eat your Smarties, do you eat the red ones last?
Do you suck them very slowly, or crunch them very fast?
Eat those candy-coated chocolates, but tell me when I ask,
When you eat your Smarties, do you eat the red ones last?”

The original idea for the campaign came from a little girl named Christie Renee, who was the daughter of a couple that worked at the Rowntree's facility. She always ate the red smarties last, and when her father presented her habit to marketing, the campaign took off. It is now known as one of the best marketing campaigns for any candy.

The challenge for you today is to create a layout, card or project inspired by Smarties. Your project must include the following elements:

1. Something round (that could be a scalloped edge)
2. Be Smartie coloured. Choose ONE of the Smartie colours and combine with chocolate brown
3. The title must use white lettering
4. In honor of Christie Renee – there has to be some red and something that would represent a little girl --- flowers, lace, ribbon (Your choice, just add a feminine touch.)

**bonus: use the actual Smarties font for your title.

Here's Mine: "Snow Blessed"



There is lots of red with hints of pink, brown poka dots, circle - scallop border, brads, snowflakes and poka dot papers, sparkling white letters and ribbon roses for the "girly" touch.

You have until Saturday, January 26th at midnight to complete this challenge.
You will receive 100 CALORIES for completing and posting your project in this thread.
Bonus 25 Points use the Smarty Font in yout title.

You just gave me an idea for a LO too - I like "Smartie Pants" for a title on a page (HOMEWORK, BABY LEARNING, ETC) whoops -caps! and the font will look great!

I used the corner punch to round the edges, the curvy banner (the story) and the curves in the photo mat
I used red and brown
I used white Smartie Font lettering
I included red details adn the girlie part is the little circular doily embellishments and snowflakes
