| When I need a time out....
- I sit on my hope chest at the top of the back stairs and talk to God
- I close myself in the bathroom and lock the door
- I go for a walk on the walking trail through the woods
- I take a long, hot bubble bath
- I let DH take over and I "play" (AKA scrapbook!) | |

| It is a necessary course of action sometimes, Kelly! Even when there is no time!
This is my definition for a time out - a period of time used to calm down when a mother has had enough and is ready to blow up. The length of duration depends on the condition of the mothers nerves. LOL! | |

| Oh I know what it is.. I was just pulling your leg.  I remember hearing of a mom who - instead of giving her quibbling children a time out - told them that she obviously wasn't being a "good enough" mommy and was going to give herself a time out instead of them. She went to her room and read a book for an hour. The children were so surprised that they just behaved themselves after that!  | |
