need direction

I`m still wondering what direction to go......

To me, taking a random pic every day is dis-jointed, and I don`t know if I want to do a full year of that.

I know Jessica is going with a "theme" for each week. Are any of you doing a "photo-a-day" kindof project?

I just journal and take photos as I like. I try to journal on the cards as it comes to me. The photos I take, I stick a little 3m note where it will go, then when I develop them I add them.

I'm doing the "photo-a-day" with the prompts from Helen. When there are other pics that don't fit the prompt I will still include them anyways.

I'm going to do a little like Wanita. I'm going to use Helen's prompts but if we do something special that doesn't fit the word, I'll include that too.

I can see where a random picture might feel disjointed but I think when you look back over the year, it will be all those little things that will spur the memories.

I thought about it feeling disjointed as well so I am going to have the Project 365 (photo-a-day) separated somehow. I have an idea of what I want it to look like in my head but whether or not that will translate to paper is a whole other issue...lol.

Mine is going to be more like Lisa's. pics of things that we do, I have never been one for disjointed stuff.

I don`t think you will find it disjointed no matter how you do it....it is meant to be snippets of real life and life is anything but smooth and flowing. I love looking back and seeing all of the different types of things.

I'm just adding whatever hits my fancy...a few photos...some odds and ends...but am going to collect for a few weeks or the month and then add to my book...it's too hard to plan things out for an every night thing. I have my book set up in an album with two full pages and two pages of 4 holders for each month so I'm going to see how that works out

Thank you for clarifying that, Carla! LOL! Now I know how I'm doing this. I didn't know what I was doing. Didn't realize I was heading in this direction. LOL! Yes, I guess I am doing it "themed".

Have you found a way that will work for you yet?

Agreed! I think this is what I was trying to say. Not sure if that got across or not.

Still thinking on it. Maybe I will just do the photo a day.... it will still be our "daily" life, I guess. Sometimes I don't like the pics that the "photo-a-day" recommends, so I've just been taking whatever pic I feel to for the day.

I've been wondering if I need to do two pics a day. 1 for the photo-a-day and one for what's going on in my day. I feel the same way Carla.

I've decided I want to go the journal type way...if that's allowed and then it can be pictures and just...well whatever I'm inspired to do.

I think I need to carry the journal cards with me and journal "on the go". The story is so important to my life, I don't think I have enough photo ops anymore - or themes (we're a boring semi-retired couple LOL) but if I actually have the card with me, it's more likely I'll jot down thoughts as they come to me.

I like that idea.

Good idea Kelly. I keep my cards handy all the time and jot things down. Then they are ready to go.
