January 2013 Photo a Day Challenge

OK ladies.. I swore I would take more photos.. and guess what?? I didn't.. so one of my "goals" this coming year is to do a photo a day! Thought I would post the list a few days early so you can see it and join me!!

Yes, I will do this now. It'll be much easier now that I have my iPhone and can take pic with that

I am thinking of getting a new one. Mine is archaic!!! LOL!!!

I'm doing a project 365 with a LSS, will have to see how that goes!

I'm sure you'll be able to keep up with your iphone Carla. I love the filters & things you can download for instagram. I wish my phone took better pictures but all I can do is text & call. Nothing special.

I hope I can do this this year. Maybe if I print the list and put it somewhere I can see it, I'll remember to do it!

I don't have an iPhone but I do have an android phone that takes pretty good photos. As long as I aim it right!

Now that I have a new camera maybe this will get me motivated to use it more and figure out the settings and lenses. Most of my pics will probably still be with my cell phone though...lol. Last night, we were at a friend's and his wife does the 365 days of photos and made a hardcover book. I'll have to ask her the name of the website again. I know I will never keep up and my life isn't interesting enough to print a book but she said there is good info on photography there.

I've got the Project 365 app on my phone and am going to use it this year!!! I started about a week ago...I did miss 2 days but then I set an alarm on my phone to remind me to take a pic!

I was blessed to get an excellent deal on the iphone 5 last week...for some reason WalMart here had a deal for 127....my 2 year contract was ready for renew so hubby said to get it for my Christmas! My dd got my 4S (she had a 4) so now we are going to sell the 4 and we should actually get about 250 for it on ebay so I will actually be AHEAD of the game!

I'm just trying to take some photo that will remind me of the day.

The other thing I do...which I did keep up with and am continuing this year was I took 366 3x5 index cards, and stamped the date on each card....I write one little sentence about the day every day. Now this year I will see what I did last year on the same date....I saw it on pinterest last year....it is like a little diary of sorts!

I'd like to do a layout of each week....print like 2x2 prints of each of the photos....

That's a neat idea with the index cards & I love that there's an app for the project life! I wish I had a phone that I could put the app on.

I'm already behind as I forgot to take this picture today. LOL

I just had a thought. My DD has an ipod touch & I could use that for pictures. It's small & easy to carry around. Plus she won't need it since she's in school!

The app doesn't work for my Windows phone

I think that I will pick up a pocket calendar at work tomorrow and just use that. I can fill in the prompts for each day and then add a little note about the photo when I take it. We had a couple of large-print ones that would be perfect. I am just going to use my FB page to track the photos and add them once a week so that it's manageable and I don't feel overwhelmed.

I can use my iPhone, I just don't know how to get it from my phone to m,y computer. Tonight I just uploaded it to my FB, and then got on my computer to copy the url info and then pasted it here on the forum. Must be an easier way to share right from my phone.

I can't seem to get photobucket to work properly so I had to add it here. Too tired to battle with it anymore I am also adding an album to my FB and eventually my blog (once a week) to track this as well so you can see my progress there if you would like.

I have a friend who is going to write one little sentence about what she was thankful for that day and put it in a jar beside her bed. At the end of the year, she's planning to pull them out and have a look at what she was thankful for all year long. I thought it was a marvelous idea!

Use dropbox!!!! I love it! Takes all pics I have on my phone and puts them on my laptop (or desktop if I want it to). You can delete the ones you don't want to keep AND it keeps track of the date you took them! I LOVE that!
