Thanks Carla! We love doing the talks. Pete and I kinda play off one another, humour-wise. We use a Powerpoint presentation that P. developed: full of photos!
Anyway...
When I heard those words, I turned to Pete and said- "I know exactly how I can use that to close the presentation."
Serendipity!
We tweak the presentation every time we do it as some needs are a bit different. This talk, for example, is for a huge group- over 200 ppl-- and is more formal. We often speak to 50 people, and have done groups as small as 25.... ladies' church groups (UCW) and smaller Lions groups, etc....
The Lions have given us so much- this is our way of helping THEM. And we (of course) take Argo!
The presentations also help the various local Lions groups (one pretty much in every community) decide whether they will support a Dog Guides programme- AND
WHICH ONE (there are 5).
You know what many of them do after hearing about Noah, Argo and the AADG programme. Brings it home for them. And since we are here, and "Close to Home"
IT REALLY HELPS GEL THE IDEA. The Lions are really "LOVE in ACTION" and we can show them that when we get the chance to speak and say thank you...
TY for being interested in that... I love to talk about the Lions, can you tell? LOL! They are so very very special to us. Our family owes them such a debt of gratitude. We cannot ever repay them.
