MAKE IT Monday! October 1st

Time for a new technique This month we'll be focusing on different things to do with RIBBON.

Here's your challenge Attach some buttons to a piece of ribbon. I used some embroidery cotton, but you can use twine or jute or even some thin ribbon. Maybe you could use thing ribbon to run through several buttons and have them attached that way. Show me what you can come up with!

So dull-looking here today, tough to get a nice photo.

You can create any type of project for this, OR you can "double up" and use the technique on any of the DT challenges. Just make sure you post here in this thread. I will be sending out a magazine as a prize for any of the Monday challenges.

Great Grandpa Green was in the last stages of Alzheimers. He didn't recognize us much, but when he saw Jessica this time, he called her "my queen" -- a nickname he had for his daughter (Jessica's grandma).

ps. Jessica hair is not greasy in those pics -- she had just washed it, and we rushed over to say good-bye to Grandpa

Oh Carla.... this made me tear up. A lot of my work was with seniors & families dealing with this issue. TY TY for honouring him this way. It's beautiful. And I love that we get to see Jessica's face, too.

My make it Monday from Oct 1st using the ribbon strung through buttons. I used jute strung through the buttons. Kinda went better with the photo subject than ribbon would have.

The wood background is perfect here. I like the way you used the leaf flourish. I love trees that have multiple trunks like that.
