Make a Gift IMG_7423Medium

as of this point in time, this is hte ONLY home made Christmas gift that's going to be under my tree (apart from SB albums)! Laughing

It's off to the quilter right now, I'll have to bind and finish it in the next month or two and that's that. It's over 106" square so plenty big enough.

Smile

Thanks Stephanie. A gf helped me put it together so am making her a photo book of the process.. there's no way to pay someone for what she's done for me! (she said it was therapy for her after a stressful day at work.. hey, we all relax in different ways, right?) Laughing

Here is my scarf:

Make a Gift IMG_2114

It knits up with 1 ball. It is easy to do but takes a few rows to get accustom to the method. Here is the youtube video for the yarn - it helped ALOT! The instructions on the ball were not very helpful.

I might make a few for teachers' gifts too - we'll see.

I've made some of those, Lisa! You're right -- after a couple of rows you kinda get the hang of it. Lovely job, the colors remind me of an ice-cream shop Smile

Very cute! I've wanted to try these but I'm not a knitter so I've wondered how easy they are. thanks for the link!

I have made several of the scrafs, I stocked up last week because Michaels had the yarn for 3.99 a ball. They make great gifts.

Nice job Lisa, love the colour. I agree with Carla, it does look like an ice-cream shop.

Stephanie they are not as difficult as knitting so it would be a great place to start. Just takes a bit to `feel` it. I noticed a bunch of new yarns that do a similar thing but with different edgings. And they whip up quickly!
