April 1st - One Cent Day

Did you that today is one cent day?

The earliest record of the penny by name in history is from 790 AD when the first British penny was minted. It was originally pressed in silver.



In honor of the penny, (and the fact that our Canadian government has just passed that we are going to be eliminating the penny) I want to see a “penny” on your card, layout, altered item!!

That's what I think too, Helen.. no way are they going to round down... Everything is going to cost .02 or .03 more!

Colleen you are way too fast! Very nicely done-I always admire your LOs especially all the flowers you use.

Here is my LO for the penny day.It is Trevi Fountain in Rome and legend has it if you throw money into it you will return to Rome.We must have thrown in the wrong kind of penny because it's been years that we were there and haven't returned!! In the LO I used maybe one of our last Canadian pennies LOL!
