I believe this came from Scrapbooker's Paradise an aeon ago.

Adhering the fiber to your project:

There are a wide variety of very good adhesives on the market today and many of them work well with fibers. You will find that you'll like different adhesives for different applications. Here are some of our favorites:

Mini Glue Dots and Zots: These tiny adhesive dots are perfect when attaching the fiber directly on top of your project. They are virtually invisible and allow you to place the fiber almost anywhere! Use every few inches, or as often as needed to achieve the desired design.

Zig and Sailor Glue Pen: We like liquid glue so well because the fine tip allows you to draw a very thin bead of glue.

Regardless of which liquid glue you use, we suggest you allow the glue to become a bit tacky prior to putting your fiber on top of it. This prevents natural fibers from absorbing the liquid and changing in appearance. After attaching the fiber, be sure to allow your project to dry thoroughly before putting it in the page protector.

Eyelets: The very thin fibers can be attached to your project by using eyelets. Put the fiber into the hole, from the front to the back, and then add the eyelet. Set the eyelet as normal. Or, you can set the eyelet first, then thread the fiber through the center of the eyelet and attach to the back with a photo split. This method works well with the thicker fibers.

Nailheads: Place the nailhead over the top of the fiber. With the cork board under your project, press the nailhead down until the prongs go all the way through the paper. Pick up and turn over the paper and depress the prongs. (We use the blunt end of the needle tool for this…it saves the finger tips!) This is a great way to attach thicker fibers to your page and the nailheads add a nice design element.

about nailheads... when I am using brads to hold something down, I use an old mouse pad and a blunt needle or tack and punch the hole through the paper that way.
