| not sure if many of you do much stamping here, but whats the best way to store inkpads? or does it depend on the brand etc...
Upside down? or right way up etc... do you have a rack etc.
Also stamps, how do you store them?, at the moment mine are just rolling around in a drawer and its a bit of a kerfuffle. |

| Um, I don't buy a lot of ink other than Tim Holtz Distress Ink and they just pile on top of eachother.
As for stamps, also in a drawer, I never use them. I really should try to use them once in a while! |

| I store some of my ink pads upside down but if they are the other way, no big deal. I have mostly acrylic stamps - only a couple of wood mounted ones. Right now they are all in a drawer. I saw an organization post somewhere that had acrylic stamps stored in page protectors in a binder. For the mini sets, they used a collector card page. I'd like to do that with mine. Hmm..maybe a trip to staples to pick up page protectors is in order today. |

| GOOD questions AM!
INK PADS: Ink pads are upside down near where I work, at my right (am right handed)- I see that most fit one atop the other (Darice Ink it up dye inks and my Versamagic chalk inks).
ACRYLIC STAMPS: I am in process of placing my acrylic stamps in 10mm thick cd "jewel cases" as they are called (says so on label, LOL.) I just bought 20 of them at Staples office depot, paid $7.24 for 10 packs.
Presently stamps are:
1- Wood mounted rubber stamps- atop a hutch in scrap room, on a plastic stepped spice-rack so they are visible (steps go upward, stamps placed on each stair "riser") I will NOT be unmounting them, I like the feel of the wood! 2- Acrylic stamps: A) Smaller ones or singles like the "Snag 'ems" are in canisters on my desk B) larger ones or sets are in an iris cart drawer

| I store my ink pads upside down as well. My mom always told me that it keeps the ink at the top - and I never argue with my mom I mainly have acrylic stamps and I keep them in a little rubbermaid container. My mom used to keep her wood mounted stamps standing up in a shadow box. It used to be an old printing drawer like where they would keep metal letters for a newspaper office. |

| Oh... I so want one of those old printer drawers! I saw quite a few years ago, a scrap-ed one and I loved it! Always keeping my eyes open for one Stephanie! _________________ Happy Scrappin' Helen

| Ink pads... the older ones etc are to be stored upside down - that way the ink stays close to the top!
CTMH ones (i have all 60 colors) are a patented storage pad, they are designed to be stacked and the pad is in the top so that it is always stored upside down but you can read it. https://ldshewchuk.myctmh.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=36
My stamp pads... well i have i am sure over 500 sets of acrylic ones.. so they are stored like this in the acrylic organizer... up to 15 sets each container and you can take with you!!
https://ldshewchuk.myctmh.com/Retail/Category.aspx?CatalogID=19
my woodies are in a drawer and then all my "other acrylic, tin cases, rubber mounts" are stored in a big basket.
i actually have a list of all my stamp sets etc... as i was buying duplicates - go figure - lol
boy i really have to take pics to send to you guys! |
