ATC Swap Art Show....

Well ladies... that was so much fun!
We must do it again soon!

I have rec'd most of my ATC's and I think I am only waiting for Wanita and Linda's.

Tomorrow I would like you all to post your ATC that you sent to everyone and that way we can show the rest of the Sisters what we did!

And we can ask all the questions we want, as I know that Maggi and I have a few!

Sorry ladies....I'm late with this one. Made one, hated it, made another one, not sure if I "love" it but they are all ready to mail out today. This month just seemed to totally get away from me.

Wanita... no problem! Send them now, or wait until the next one, as I am sure we will do this again! Don't worry!!!

mine were meant for the mail today - i took them there and everything... well they will processed tmrw. during our burger sale today a drill press being transferred, clipped a power pole - what a crack and right beside us - just snapped the pole and pulled wires, sparks, etc.. Quite scary to see.

Well all of Preeceville was shut down - our power came on at around 6:30 p.m tonight... Banks closed, stores closed, drugstore, post office and everything completely shut down -couldn't even go out for supper... my fabulous post lady (her name is Linda as well) is going to process first thing in am for me and i will go in and pay the bill in the afternoon.

I have my mail here, but will look through them later. - have tons to catch up on...

oh ya - we happily bbq'd 160 burgers for the skating club today!!!!

Here's mine. I must say I didn't really understand the intials part about it. When I started receiving ATC's I didn't see them (intials on the front). SO I figured having my name on the back was OK. But looking back on it I could have done things differently. This is my first ATC swap so next time I will do better. I also did a Christmas theme because I figured no one else would with spring right around the corner. I hope you all liked what I sent. I also want to thank everyone for the extra little things they sent me. I opened my envelopes in the car and then put them in one big pile while I went in to bowl. Well then I couldn't thank the individual person. So Thank you to you all:)

This was such fun. Thank you Helen for hosting the swap and to Lois for giving us the push to give it a try! I had never tried ATC's before this.

I really enjoyed receiving each one.They were all wonderful and the little extra surprises were very nice.Thank you :-)

So I have some questions on techniques and products that were used and hope you will not mind sharing.


I'll start out with Lynn

Your Title for you ATC has me stumped...LOL . Could you please share what product or products you used to create this! I love the look and feel...is it material?

How did you create your vinyl Title ? Very cool! By the way, love your H intial is it a font or rub on or your own ?

Stephanie.. What an awesome job on your embossed Title..my embossed lettering never comes out this clear!!Could you please share what brand of powder you use. Excellent job!
Did you stamp in Ink then emboss or is it white EP?

Cindy That ribbon border is beautiful ..I love how it wraps its self around the whole ATC! Beautiful!
Would you mind sharing the puch you used or is it hand cut? either way it is very nice!

I'm loving all the ATC's! I still have a couple to get in the mail...and am excited to get them!

And Jean Marie, as to your question..... yes, it is material. Its self adhesive paper thin cotton that you can run through a printer (I got mine at Staples). So, thats how I got my title on..... designed it using word art (wanted to get my initial on there without actually putting my initial kwim) and then ran it through the printer, trimmed them to the size I wanted, and there you have it. Oh, ya, and I glimmer misted the cotton to get that color.

Jean Marie-I used a Fiskars border punch and then put ribbon in the holes. It was a little challenging at times. The ribbon going thru the hole frays and needs to be cut in a diagnol every couple of holes. Thanks for asking.

Jean Marie, on mine I stamped the title in versamark then used white embossing powder. I don't know what brand it was because my dd "borrowed" the empty bottle and I can't find it. It was just a brand from Michael's. I did learn from a website to wipe down your surface before you stamp with a dryer sheet and it will keep the static electricty away.

I wanted to know about Helen's stamp in the corner. What was the black ink & how did you stamp it? It looks like a reverse stamping technique.

Everyone did a great job & I would love to do it again!!

Jean Marie... I have many of the same questions...

First, my initial is a rub-on. Nothing fancy. And the "Just be" is a stamp from Studio Calico that I embossed.

Jean Marie..... HOW Did you do your atc? The whole thing?? Is it alcohol inked and then covered with .... not sure! Please explain... it is amazing!!!

Maggi... love your name in Chinese. Very nice. Love the clean lines on your ATC!

Sonya... Is your title a stamp? I love the font and the picture is so cute.

Stephanie..... Love the butterlfies! Please tell me you didn't cut them out by hand??? Are they a punch? and if so, you must have different sizes. The sunflower is awesome (My favorite flower).

Lynn... it the "Live, Laugh, Love" stamped onto material? It is so cool Love it!!

Cindy.... thanks for explaining about the ribbon! I have this border punch and am definitly going to try this! It is so pretty! Love the bling!!!

Lois.... I LOVE the tree die-cut! It is amazing!! And I love the little tree stamp in the back ground. Where is that one from? Very nice!!

The butterflies were a punch - just 2 little cheapie ones from Michaels. One was 3.99 the other a dollar!! I don't have much patience for hand cutting things - LOL!

Helen, the Live love laugh were printed onto the matierial. Just used word art and printed.

I agree Stepphanie.. I am not one for too much cutting either!

Helen it was individual letter stamps. Didn't get them lined up very well, but I liked the outcome anyway.

sorry, late on this post too.... here's mine. I sure hope all of you recive my ATC and goodies next week. i am interested to know how long my mail takes to get to AUS and US as well
