SISTER Sunday - April 7th KELSEY

Good morning, ladies!

Happy to be starting our Sister Sundays again! It's a great chance to get to know some of our sisters on the forum.

KELSEY is our first!



Tell us about your family: My husband Cyril and I have been together for just over 8 years, and married for 3.5 years. After getting married,
we spent a year living in England while he did a Masters Degree. We moved in to our current home a year ago and welcomed our daughter on August 28th, 2012.

Who/What inspired you to start scrapbooking? I beleive I just decided to buy a kit at Walmart or something but really got in to it when I was
dating an ex and his Mom was involved and introduced me to Creative Memories, I've been doing it now about 10 years.

Does anyone in your family also scrap? My sister does and my Grandmother just started, she is working on a Family/Ancestry album.

What size do you normally scrap? 12x12

How many hours a week do you scrap? On average, sadly only one. I plan on making more time! I NEED my hobby!

What is one thing you always find yourself reaching for when creating a layout? Thickers!

Describe your scrapping style in just three words. Clean-ish, White (space), Colorful

Tell us about your favorite layout you have ever completed? I don't have a favorite, every time I create one it becomes my fave. Although a
special layout to me will always be the first one I did of my daughter!


What do you love the most about scrapping? Being creative! (and shopping..lol)

What do you dislike the most about scrapbooking? NOTHING!

What topic do you find the most difficult to scrap? For me right now, my Wedding. I just want it to be perfecct so I'm trying to come up with
the best ideas to use to scrap those photos.

Have you ever taught a scrapbooking class? No.

Have you ever been published? No

What type of camera do you use? Nikon 1

What would be your perfect day? Being able to spend half of it with my family and the other half scrapbooking without interuptions.

I can't imagine my life without ... My daughter!

Favorite Snack: Dill Pickle Chips

Favorite Drink: Orange Juice

Favorite Paper: Patterned Paper would be Echo Park at the moment

Favorite Technique: Glimmermisting!

Favorite Embellishment: Washi Tape

Favorite Scrap Tool: Heidi Swapp Distressor

Favorite Adhesive: Tombo

Kelsey I known you for awhile and its was great to get to know you a little more!

It was great getting to know you a bit better, Kelsey! Love that photo of your family. Did you get after your hubby for wearing grey toed socks?

Seriously though.. It was wonderful to see and "meet" you. You'll have to teach us to be better glimmer misters. I don't think we do enough of that around here (or is it just me? )

While living in England- did you get to travel to other countries?

We did!

We visited Ireland 3 times, and Northern Ireland once, we went to Greece for a week, took a day trip to Edinborough, a day trip to Wales. We went to visit my in-laws in France as well.

Wow, that's cool Kelsey! Do you speak any other languages? Did you pick up a English accent while there?
