Art journal challenge #5 - Spring

it's coming, it's coming.... but not yet! Meanwhile, I want you to show me the first signs of spring that you usually see, or feel or imagine should be coming any day now. Also, lets see some greens, yellows, a bit of red... happy, springy colors... and some bubble wrap painting...I see there are some of you... not mentioning any names of course, that are now really loving bubble wrap!!

As soon as you said "any day now" I thought... "Where is she from?!" Ah, B.C. Here it would be any "month" now. We don't see any signs of spring until March! And for that reason, I'd be very happy to take up your challenge so I can get a glimpse of spring!! And yes, I do love that bubble wrap technique!

I love bubble wrap, too. I'll have to see waht I can find!

Yes, I don't think spring is "around the corner" yet. LOL! Not for us Albertans!

Oh, that quote would be so perfect with pics of my DS1! He won't wear a winter coat... he goes to school in sneakers, a spring coat and sometimes shorts in the middle of winter!!

My son does that too Jessica!! I'm worried the teacher is going to call child services on us!! (not really, but you know what I mean ) It looks like I don't pay attention to him as he walks out of the house!

Helen... I love the journal pages you do, they are always what I wish mine were... lol!! Here's mine... even though I created this challenge, I had trouble with it... I did the flowers 4 times and finally gave up... so here it is:

The first signs of spring here would be growth popping up out of the brown grass, so I added the color brown to the greens and yellos and used pics of mushroom growing. I used red for the title and the ladybug, there are also bits of red in the pp.

Helen, I like the way your flowers represent the dead of winter and your background is all spring color.
Lois, that verse always makes me smile although I don't really remember where I learned it from. Probably my Dad.

I agree with Stephanie, I wish my pages looked like Lois and Helen's.
