The Quality Street Challenge



Quality Street Chocolates and Caramels have been on the market since 1936. I love those chocolates in the octagon purple tins. They are manufactured by Nestle, in Croydon, UK. Each tin has the insignia of her majesty the Queen and these chocolates are made for every royal event., one of the most recent was the special tin designed for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.

Although the flavours have changed over the years, each tin contains 12 flavours wrapped in 10 different colour cellophane and foil wrappers.

Milk Chocolate Hazelnut with caramel (purple wrapper)
Chocolate Noisette Pate (Hazelnut Triangle, green wrapper, triangle)
Chocolate Toffee Finger (gold wrapper, stick)
Toffee Penny (gold wrapper)
Vanilla Fudge (pink wrapper)
Strawberry Delight (red wrapper, circular)
Coconut Éclair (blue wrapper)
Caramel Swirl (yellow wrapper)
Milk Choc Block (green wrapper)
Orange Crunch (orange wrapper, octagonal)
Orange Crème (orange wrapper)
Toffee Deluxe (brown wrapper)

The Quality Street Challenge is to create a LO, card or project that ---

Purple is the base colour.

There are shades of brown.

Something that glitters or sparkles.

And for the inspiration of the tin, include Octagons or Hexagon shapes. (Hexagons are popular in the scrapbooking world.)

You will receive 100 CALORIES for completing and posting your project in this thread.

Bonus – I love the jewel tones when you open the tin.



For 50 extra calories use all 9 colours (purple, gold, pink, red, blue, yellow, green, orange and brown) on your project.

Linda that is a lovely layout. I really like the different shaped layers under the photo. Great Challenge. I think it will be a challenge for me.

I finally did it....I scrapbooked a LO!!!!!!
My base is purple
I have two shades of brown
My ribon glitters
My hexagon shape has a rose on it
As well for the bonus I have used all nine colors!

Great job, Marie! I found it very challenging to get all the bonus colors in there and add gold to it! I did it though (used brads for the gold) and used hexagons for flowers. Not thrilled with it, but Tanner will like it I'm sure!

Thanks, Linda. I find it hard to use hexagons and octagons on LO's. I was hoping I had stuff to do a page with stop signs on it to cover that part of the challenge! LOL!
