JOURNALLING with a Twist - Oct 11th

Ok, my first time posting a journal challenge

THE PROMPT: Use a "She" saying.

THE STUFF: Use ribbon somewhere on your page.

THE TECHNIQUE: Use a stamp to make your background.


I didn't have anything to cut out a "she" so I searched for some silhouettes online, made a dress for my She, and then added some ribbon as trim on her dress. My background was made with a dotted stamp, then I used some misting and a mask on the bottom of them page. I finished it off with a yellow paint wash.

Thanks for the link to the sayings. I wanted to start my own "She" book but I was having a hard time coming up with sayings. I found a paper doll template online and I'm planning on using that for my "she"

The first one is from a piece of scrap paper from Christie Tomlinson called "She Art" and the second one I made myself.

Here's mine. The colors are washed out by the flash photo.
