WORK IT! Wednesday Sept. 5th

Welcome to Work it! Wednesday!! Every Wednesday, someone is going to scour the gallery & find a project that inspires them. Then we are going to scraplift it! If you've never scraplifted before, it works just like a sketch. Take bits & pieces from the example to inspire you or you can copy the whole thing. Just remember to make it yours! You will have until the end of the month to do this. Remember, your name will go into a drawing for this!

I chose Gail's "Happy" LO to scraplift. I love the banner and the yellow going on. (I'm working on my example today )



Also remember you can use the Saying Sat, the Free Font (not posted yet this month) or the Monday technique on this project to get an extra entry for the Work It! Wednesday prize: CardMaker magazine - Sept 2012 issue

Don't know if I lifted this properly but here it is anyway!
My sisterThe one in the center of the photo) has Alzeimers and is in a home in Ontario. This summer us other 4 sisters went to see her and this photo was taken on one of her good days(Good Times). I have no doubt that she knew us this day and seemed very happy-compared to some of the other days we visited.We were there for 10 days and saw here daily-good days and not so good.The yellow flowers are significant because they are behind the chair we always sat on while visiting on the outdoor deck there is for patients on their unit.My sister loves her flowers.

No, Kelly the butterflies are on a ribbon. I just cut them off the ribbon and used them as singles.There is ribbon like that in different colors and also with flowers on it. I still like it better used singularly!

Here's mine. It's one of those layouts that has sat on my desk (or around the scraproom) for about 2 weeks now! I feel it's sort of bottom heavy but am hapy enough with the result to say it's DONE!
