April 28th - Poetry Reading Day

Today is "Poetry Reading Day" and is in honor of some really great verse.

"Sisterhood is many things.
It's a warm smile on a cold and rainy day,
a friendly hug, a cheerful hello...
It's all that a good and lasting friendship is, only better.
It's treasured. It's sacred.
It's knowing that there will always be someone there for you.
It's dreams shared, and goals achieved.
It's counting on others and being counted on.
It is real."

Oh My Sister Caroline

Oh my sister caroline
I hope you're doing good
And staying out of trouble
Yeh, like my sisters could!

Oh my sister caroline
I hope you're feeling strong
You might have to keep us in line
Should we do something wrong

Oh my sister caroline
Where in the world did you go
For everytime I look for you
You have been a 'no show'

Oh my sister caroline
Now smile one big smile
Then hold it just like that
I'll need to see that for a while

Oh my sister caroline
Here's something you need to know
That you're someone very special
And I'll always love you so

We Have Been Given a Wonderful Gift

We have been given the chance to experience the wonders of life together.

The good times I treasure the most, and some of the best memories I have, were spent with you. In the worst times, we only became stronger.

I want you to know that in difficult times I will not stand behind you or walk in front of you, I will walk beside you, and I will always be there.

No distance or person can take away what we have or who we are, because you are my sister... always.

Sisters

God sent us to be sisters
So we can be best of friends
To be there for one another
Even when there is pain
I thank the Lord for sending my sisters to me
For whom I truly love and care
We shared so many things together
Like laughter and some scares
It’s funny how we sometimes argue
I guess its normal, in this world
But, having you as my sister
Means more to me, more than you'll ever know
I wouldn’t trade you for anything
I will never let go
As our friendship continues to grow
So will my love for you
Just always remember you can talk to me
I'll be the best friend you ever knew
