Painted Snowman Jar

This project requires:

~a Mason jar (or any similar jar )

~acrylic paint (white, black, orange)

~black marker

~a piece of felt

~clear spray OR some other coating to keep the paint from scratching off. (I used "Stickles".)

I painted the jar 2X with thin layers of paint. I let them dry well before coats. The third coat was put on with a sponge, to give the jar a bit of a "bumpy" effect.

Hi Everyone;

For Christmas for some special friends, I make greeting card albums instead of just a card. I got the boxes to use from my optometrist. When I was last there, I asked what they did with the boxes that glasses come in, and she said that they throw them out! So now, I must have a gazillion of them and use them for lots of stuff.

This is one such box I decorated to hold my mini greeting card album:

The album was cut using chipboard and decorated as follows:

She also has a couple of other posts that give ideas on how to make some different gift card holders. They are here and here.

This altered item is something I made last year, and my whole family thought it was cute...

You remove the backing from it, and add your pp and embellishments and that is that! I hinged the folder together using some of my hubby's wood working hinges! (He has drawn ...
